When he was 14, he was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma which only appeared as a visible lump on the outside. It was in a knee pit and, although was not causing him pain, it caused many other inconveniences. He underwent many examinations, the disease returned and a more radical solution was needed. They amputated his leg above the knee to prevent the cancer from spreading. It worked like this for a while, he was wearing prosthesis and going to school. After a long time, the doctors found a relapse - the disease returned. The doctors decided to exarticulate - remove the rest of his femur and joint. Fortunately, this operation was the last he underwent in connection with this disease.
He spent the period between 2002 and 2005 in hospital, with occasional breaks. Although he missed a lot of school, he successfully completed the primary, secondary and higher education.
He also managed to complete an Engineer´s Degree in Applied Informatics and Automation in Industry. He has always loved sports, played basketball and is still a big fan of this sport.
In 2007, he got into table football which he later started playing in competitions and also organized tournaments. At the beginning of 2016, he got into crossfit, TRX and yoga. From that moment on, miracles began to happen. Right after his first hour of exercise, an endorphin explosion occurred, causing feelings he had never experienced. He started training regularly, his condition grew and the great feeling after the training remained for always. A friend of his suggested he should take part in the Spartan Race. He felt support from all sides. Not only did he finish the race, but also overtook another twenty competitors. From that moment on, there was a growing interest in this. People ask how he was able to do it, where he found so much strength in himself and where that courage is taken from.
He showed it is possible to make progress in sports or any other area of life, and that the handicap no longer is an obstacle or excuse.
His goal is to show people his motto: a belief that he wins in all circumstances and never loses.
To date, he has completed 33 Spartan Races, including Trifecta weekends, winter and charity races.
